Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) claimed to have detained 11 militants from Khulna’s Khalishpur area on Friday night.
They were detained during a raid from 9pm to 12am, said RAB sources.
RAB officials said that they raided an under-construction house belonging to a person named Alam Sheikh off BIDC Road, on a tip-off. "During the raid, the 11, including Alam, were detained and taken to the RAB office," said an official.
RAB-6 Commander Lieutenant Colonel Md Mostaq Ahmed said that the operation was conducted following information about "extremist activities in the area".
