Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud has tested positive for COVID-19 for the third time.
According to a press release, the minister fell ill on Sunday after distributing Tk 50,000 to each of the families of 72 victims killed in a recent boat capsize in the Karatoya River.
Dr. Hasan visits his constituency in Chittagong almost every weekend after fulfilling state and party duties in Dhaka and a lot more places during his working days of the week. He has been infected with corona twice before. The first time he was admitted to BSMMU, he signed the documents at the hospital, and the next time he passed the tenure at home. This time around, he has been residing in his official residence on Minto Road.
"I am pretty healthy now, thanks to all for praying for me," added Dr. Hasan.
