Teacher dies at school in Jessore, heat stroke suspected

On a fateful Sunday morning, tragedy struck as Ahsan Habib, a dedicated teacher, met an untimely demise after arriving at school in Jessore. The incident occurred around 9 am, sending shockwaves through the community.

Hailing from Lihampur village in Deyara Union of Jessore Sadar Upazila, Ahsan Habib, son of Yushup Ali Molla, served as an assistant teacher at Ahmedabad Secondary School in Sadar Upazila. His commitment to education and his students was unwavering.

Confirming the heartbreaking news, Dr. Habibur Rahman, from the emergency department of Jessore General Hospital, expressed condolences over the sudden loss of the teacher.

According to AZM Parvez Masood, the Headmaster of Ahmedabad Secondary School, Ahsan Habib arrived at the school premises around 9 o‍‍`clock that morning, having completed his agricultural chores in the fields. Shortly after his arrival, he fell ill, prompting swift action to rush him to Jessore General Hospital.

Dr. Haroon-ur-Rashid, supervisor at Jessore General Hospital, shared insights with the media, stating, "The school teacher (Ahsan Habib) was brought dead to the hospital this morning. Relatives of the patient said that he had worked in the field in the sun this morning. Then he went to school. Relatives suspect that he may have suffered a heat stroke in the heat." However, he emphasized that the final report was pending, and initial assessments from the emergency department suggest the possibility of a heart attack.
