The Covid-19 vaccination program for children aged 5-11 years across the country begins today. The Department of Health said that school-based vaccination will be given to children and later it will be launched at the community level. A target of vaccinating 120 million children across the country has been set.
This was informed by the Secretary Member of the Corona Vaccination Management Committee on Monday.
The Covid-19 vaccination program will continue for 12 days starting from Tuesday. Pfizer BioEntech Vaccine is a pediatric formulation specially formulated for children.
So far, more than 13 crore 20 lakh 93 thousand people have received the first dose, more than 12 crore 38 lakh 20 thousand got the second dose and 5 crore 69 lakh 82 people have received their third dose.
