The World Bank has assessed Bangladesh’s Gross domestic product (GDP) in the financial year 2022-23 was 5.8 and predicted 5.6 GDP for fiscal year 2023-24.

During a press conference at the World Bank’s country director for Bangladesh Abdoulaye Seck said that controlling high inflation in Bangladesh is one of the biggest challenges of the economy.

Estimating the growth in 2025 to be 5.7 percent, the agency asserted that the average growth in the South Asian region this year will be 6 percent. As a result, growth has slowed down. India will achieve higher growth during this period, 7.5 percent. Pakistan will achieve the lowest growth of only 1.8 percent.
