Arav Khan, the fugitive accused in the case of murdering a police officer, posted a picture with Shakib Al Hasan at his residence in Dubai. Cricketer Shakib went to inaugurate this Aarav Khan’s gold shop in Dubai.
Apart from this, YouTube content creator Ashraful Alam aka Hero Alam, producer-presenter Debashish Biswas were also present at the event among others.
Now Bangladesh Police is saying that these people can be interrogated if necessary for the sake of investigation.
In response to a question from journalists at his office on Thursday afternoon, Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB) Chief Additional Police Commissioner Mohammad Harun-Or-Rashid came up with this.
Harun said that Shakib was notified about the accused by the police, adding that “But why did he go to Dubai? It's sad. People, who would go to attend the criminal’s party, be questioned for the sake of the investigation.
The man was arrested by Dhaka police with illegal arms twice -- at Moghbazar in 2015 and at Gulshan in 2017 -- but walked out of jail after securing bail.
Arav Khan's real name is Rabiul Islam alias Apon alias Shohag alias Hridoy, a fugitive accused in a number of cases, including one filed over the murder of Special Branch Inspector Md Mamun Emran Khan in 2018.
Following the slaying, Rabiul escaped to India, obtained an Indian passport using the name Arav Khan, and then traveled to Dubai.
