Dhaka‍‍`s Shahjalal International Airport will suspend flight operations for three hours each night from Monday to Wednesday for runway maintenance surveillance.

The airport‍‍`s managing director, Group Captain Kamrul Islam, disclosed this information on Sunday.

He told the media, "As part of routine airport operations, one task is runway management. As part of this task, runway centerline light and marking surveillance activities will be temporarily suspended from May 6 to May 8, from 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. each night. All concerned airlines and agencies have already been notified through NOTAM (Notice to Airmen)."

During these three hours, flights by Saudi Arabian Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Thai Airways, Kuwait Airways, Qatar Airways, and Cathay Pacific may be advanced or delayed. Passengers will also be informed about the timing of their next flight.

Kamrul Islam added, "Airlines have been requested to inform passengers in advance about their respective flight statuses and to coordinate flight operations. Additionally, coordination has been made with other service providers at the airport."
