Fatal collision takes four lives in Narsingdi

A tragic head-on collision between a pickup van and a passenger-laden microbus in Madhavadi, Narsingdi, resulted in the deaths of four individuals, with at least eight others sustaining injuries. The injured have been rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where some are reported to be in critical condition.

The incident occurred around 11:30 pm on Wednesday at Tata Para area in Sadar, according to Md. Tanveer Ahmed, the officer-in-charge of Narsingdi Sadar police station. The bodies of the deceased have been placed in the mortuary at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.

Police reports indicate that a microbus, en route from Dhaka to Brahmanbaria, collided head-on with a pickup van traveling in the opposite direction upon reaching Madhavadi Tata Para area. The impact caused the microbus to veer off course, resulting in the fatalities and injuries.

Emergency responders swiftly transported the injured to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, where eight individuals remain in critical condition and have subsequently been transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
