The newly formed Election Commission (EC) is set to hold dialogue with eminent personalities of civil society.
The Kazi Habibul Awal-led EC earlier held talks with academicians on 13 March, 15 days after taking office. Though 30 persona from different quarters were invited for discussion, only 13 responded.
However, today’s meeting is scheduled to hold at 11am.
EC sources said, the dialogues are being arranged seeking opinion and suggestions of the eminent personalities aiming to hold a fair and acceptable general election.
The new commission will set its course of action based on dialogue with people from all walks of life and registered political parties.
