Three killed and four injured when a bus of Border Guard Bangladesh hit with a pickup van in Cox's Bazar this morning.The dead were identified as Md Hamid, 32; Jahangir Alam, 25; and Nazrul Islam, 34.
An eyewitness said the accident occurred when the pickup van was trying to take over a motorcycle on the highway.Three people died on the spot and all the victims were passengers of the pickup van, they said.
The injured have been admitted to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex.
Meanwhile UNB reports, the accident took place when the pickup van was trying to take over a motorcycle and collided with the bus.
Rubel Alam, a station officer of Lohagara Fire Service and Civil Defence Station, said the bodies were recovered from the spot. Four of the injured have been sent to hospital, he said.
