14 more die of Covid-19 at RMCH

14 more people have died from coronavirus (Covid-19) infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Sunday (July 18) to 8:00am today, Monday (July 19).

Of the 14 deaths, five were coronavirus positive and nine died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus, he said.

Of the dead, three were in Rajshahi district, two in Chapainawabganj, four in Natore, two each in Naogaon and Kushtia, and one in Pabna, he added.

With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 329 in 19 days of this month.

A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
