General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, Obaidul Quader, issued a stern warning against Members of Parliament meddling in upazila elections during the party‍‍`s Rangpur divisional discussion meeting on Saturday.

Quader emphasized that the party would not tolerate any interference by MPs to manipulate the election outcomes in favor of their preferred candidates.

Highlighting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina‍‍`s efforts to promote fair competition in upazila elections within a conducive environment, Quader asserted the international recognition received by Bangladesh. He mentioned that 81 countries and 32 international organizations had extended congratulations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina post-election and expressed their commitment to collaborating closely with Bangladesh.

Quader dismissed the political prescriptions offered by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), asserting that their ideologies are incongruent with the current realities of Bangladesh. He affirmed the nation‍‍`s trajectory on the right path, despite attempts by detractors to undermine its progress.

Furthermore, Quader noted a shift in attitudes among former critics who now acknowledge Bangladesh‍‍`s reality and collaborate constructively. He criticized the diminishing influence of the BNP, characterizing their rhetoric as venomous and nonsensical
