Awami League (AL) general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader said today conspiracies are still going on to bring unnatural government like one-eleven`s one in power, reports BSS.
He was addressing a street rally in front of Companiganj Upazila AL office in the district this afternoon.
Quader said the people will make non-cooperation with BNP as they won`t respond to the party`s call for not giving taxes or other government fees.
Addressing the voters of his Noakhali-5 (Companiganj-Kabirhat) constituency, he urged all not to be afraid of and go to polling centers to exercise their voting rights.
He said AL leaders and workers will always stay beside the people and the voters. "We will have to maintain constitutional continuity," he said.
The AL general secretary urged all candidates to abide by the electoral code of conduct. Those who obstruct election process will have to face music, he said.
Feni-2 lawmaker and district AL general secretary Nizam Uddin Hazari, Companiganj upazila parishad chairman Mohammad Sahab Uddin, Kabirhat upazila AL president Mohammad Ibrahim, Companiganj upazila AL former president and valiant freedom fighter Khijir Hayat Khan, former general secretary Nurnabi Chowdhury were present.
