Police recovered the bodies of two minor siblings from an abandoned room of Government Bhabanipur Primary School under Biral upazila in Dinajpur on Friday morning.
The deceased are Rimon Islam, 7, and his brother Imran Hossain, 3, both sons of Shariful Islam of Shankarpur in Biral municipal area.
Biral police station officer-in-charge Rezaul Hasan said that they, on information from the national emergency helpline number 999, recovered the bodies of the two minor siblings from the spot.
He said that they could not trace out the father of the deceased ones.
The police officer said that they assumed that the children were killed as a sequel of their family feud.
Officials at the police station, referring to the villagers, said that the deceased children’s father Shariful, a farmer by profession, used to lock in quarrel with his wife who left the house months ago and sent divorce notice in the past week.
They said that Shariful left home with his two sons on Thursday evening and did not return home until Friday afternoon.
