Rangpur division recorded one fresh Covid-19 case testing 63 new samples at the 3.70 percent positivity rate after five consecutive days on Sunday.
Health officials said the Covid-19 pandemic situation continues improving everyday in recent weeks.
"With the diagnosis of the one fresh case, the total number of Covid-19 patients rose to 64,873 in the division," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul Islam told BSS today.
The total number of recovered Covid-19 patients rose to 63,098 as six more patients healed during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am today.
The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,289 as no new death was reported during the period.
Meanwhile, more 11,024 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Sunday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to three crore nine lakh 25 thousand and 995 doses in the division.
"Among the total administered Covid-19 jabs, 1,35,75,005 doses were inoculated as the first doses, 1,30,05,168 as the second doses and 43,45,822 as the booster doses," Dr. Islam added.
