Jute mills workers block Khulna-Jashore highway for dues

Private jute mills workers blocked Khulna-Jashore highway on Sunday to press home various demands, disrupting traffic movement on the highway for an hour.

They put up barricade at Phulbarigate in the city around 10 am demanding payment of their dues and reopening of the closed mills.

Jute mill workers said several private jute mills in the city have been shut by the owners without clearing the dues of the workers.
