Bomb threats have been sent to about 100 schools in India‍‍`s capital Delhi. However, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena termed these e-mails as ‍‍`fake‍‍`. "The source of these has already been traced," he said.

Panic spread across Delhi after the incident that happened on Wednesday (May 1) morning.

National Capital Lt. Governor VK Saxena visited DAV School in North Delhi‍‍`s Model Town following the school bomb threat. At that time he said, “Delhi Police has found the source of the e-mails. I assure the citizens of Delhi that the police is leading the investigation into the incident and is vigilant."

He assured that strict action will be taken in case of threats.

A special cell of the Delhi Police has started an investigation into the school bomb threat. However, nothing suspicious was found in any of the schools. Urging not to panic, senior police officer Kumar Mahala said, “We have checked all the schools. Nothing found. No need to panic.”

Meanwhile, VK Saxena said that he has asked the Delhi Police Chief for a detailed investigation report.

Lt Governor of Delhi said, “I request the parents not to panic and cooperate with the administration to ensure the safety of schools and children. The miscreants will not be spared.”

Around 4:30 AM, police and fire department officials visited all the schools that received bomb threats.
