A fire broke out at the hardware market of Imamganj Bazar in Old Dhaka. Ten units of the fire service doused the fire within two hours of effort.
Shopkeepers claimed that 7-8 shops and godowns have been gutted and several crore takas have been caused have been damaged, no casualties or injuries were reported.
Anwarul Islam Dolan, an officer of the media department of the fire service, said the fire was brought under control at 1:50 am on Saturday with the efforts of 10 units of the fire service.
