A couple on Saturday, was burned to death in a fire that broke out at their house in Gazipur.
The deceased were identified as Shafiqur Rahman and Nasrin Akter.
Officer-in-charge of Konabari Police Station, AKM Ashraf Uddin, said the fire broke out on the ground floor of the six-storey building.
The security guard of the building first noticed the fire and informed others. Later, locals broke into the house and found the burnt bodies of the couple.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College and Hospital.
However, what caused the fire could not be known immediately.
