Police in Sylhet have recovered the hanging body of an student from a house at Goabari area on Friday morning, reports UNB.
Deceased Sourav Das Rahul, 24, was a 4th year Sociology student of MC College and hailed from Shalla upazila of Sunamganj.
On information, police recovered his body at around 10.30 am from his room at House -22 of C-block in Mohana residential.
According to police, some of his classmates living in the same house last saw Sourav at around 1:15 am. In the morning his body was found hanging from the ceiling fan, they said.
Jalalabad police inspector Khaled Mamun said that they have recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Osmani Medical College for autopsy.
Initially, it is thought to be a suicide. However, an investigation is underway, he said.
Earlier on May 25, police recovered the body of another student named Smriti Rani Das, 20, from a room of MC College student hostel.
She was a first-year student of the English department at the college. She was from Ashtagram of Kishoreganj district.
