Police have captured three people in connection with the murder of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) student Bulbul Ahmed on the university campus.
The identities of the detainees couldn't be known immediately.
Azbahar Ali Sheikh, deputy commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, said the detainess will be freed if we do not find their involvement in the crime after the primary investigation.
Bulbul was stabbed at ‘New Zealand’ area adjacent to Gazi-Kalu-Tila right beside the Shaheed Minar on Monday.
He was taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Mdical College Hospital, where physicians declared him dead around 7:45pm.
A murder case was lodged with Jalalabad police station in Sylhet city on Monday night in this connection.
