The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has found primary involvement in the investigation of alleged incitement in the tragic case of Obontika‍‍`s suicide. Dr. K. Mahid Uddin, Additional Commissioner (Crime and Ops) of DMP, recently addressed the press regarding this development.

According to Mr. Mahid Uddin, the mother of Obontika lodged a case at Kotwali police station in Cumilla last night. The case implicates two individuals, identified as Amman and Deen Islam, on charges of abetment of suicide. The suspects have already been apprehended and are currently in the custody of Kotwali police station pending further investigation.

The deceased, Obontika, a 24-year-old student from the university‍‍`s law department, tragically took her own life at her residence in Cumilla city last Friday around 10 pm. Obontika‍‍`s father, the late Jamal Uddin, was a respected professor at Cumilla Government College, while her mother held a position as a part-time teacher at Cumilla Police Lines High School.

Reports from some of Avantika‍‍`s friends suggest that she had publicly accused Amman of sexual harassment through a Facebook post. Additionally, she purportedly accused Deen Islam of misconduct on behalf of Amman.
