An accident between a BRTC bus and a rickshaw van claimed the lives of four individuals at Chirirbandar upazila of Dinajpur on Tuesday.
Everybody who passed away was a passenger in the van. Two victims were identified as Md Nazu Islam, 40, of Chirirbandar upazila, and Abdul Mozid, 50, a rickshaw van puller from Bottoli village.
It was not immediately possible to determine the identities of the other two deceased.
The news of the accident was confirmed by Abul Hasnat Khan, the officer in charge of the Chirirbandar Police Station.
Four persons were killed instantly when the vehicle struck a BRTC bus headed for Rangpur at the Ranirbandar section of the Rangpur-Dinajpur route, according to the police.
