Heat wave expected to last three more days

Residents in the capital city of Dhaka, as well as in Rajshahi and Khulna divisions, are experiencing a mild to moderate heat wave, as reported by the Meteorological Department. The forecast suggests that this heat wave may persist for at least three more days.

Data from the Department of Meteorology indicates that yesterday, the highest temperature recorded across the country reached 38.7 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga. Moreover, numerous areas including Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Pabna, Rajshahi, Bogra, Kushtia, Khulna, Satkhira, and Jessore saw maximum temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius.

In contrast, the lowest temperature in the country was registered at 18 degrees Celsius in Dimla on Wednesday morning. Presently, the temperature in Dhaka stands at 36 degrees Celsius, reflecting the intensity of the ongoing heat wave.
