Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has announced that there will be no national textbook festival on January 1 the upcoming year due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
However, 95% of the books will reach the schools in time and students will receive them on the first day of the new year as usual,she told newsmen on Thursday (December 23).
Since 2008, on the first day of January each year, the Bangladesh government distributes textbooks among school students across the country.
