The 53rd Independence and National Day of Bangladesh is being celebrated with due honor across the country on Sunday (March, 26). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has issued commemorative postage stamps, greeting envelopes and seals at Ganabhaban on the occasion of this day.
Post and Telecommunication Minister, Mustafa Jabbar, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Mahbub Ali and the secretaries of the Prime Minister's Office and the relevant ministries were present at the time.
On the occasion of the Independence and National Day, the President Md. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute at the Savar National Memorial at 5:56 in the morning on Sunday (March, 26).
Later, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the portrait of the Father of the Nation at 32 Dhanmondi at around 7:15 am.
