Police recovered the body of journalist Hasibur Rahman Ruble on Thursday afternoon five days after he disappeared.
Ruble, a district correspondent of Amader Natun Somoy, left his Daily Kushtiar Khobor office at 9pm on July 3 after he received a phone call and disappeared.
Kumarkhali Police Station OC Kamruzzaman Talukder said the body of the missing journalist was recovered from under the Shahid Golam Kibria Bridge adjacent to Garai river around 3pm on Thursday.
The body has been sent to Kushtia General Hospital morgue for autopsy and further investigation is underway, he added.
