A 27-year-old producer at the DBC private news channel has been found dead in Dhaka city's Hatirjheel area, with his neck and chest bearing the marks of bruise.
The body of Md Abdul Bari, who hailed from Sirajganj, was recovered from the lake close to Police Plaza on Wednesday, Gulshan police said, who suspect the victim was hacked to death.
The police station's officer-in-charge, Md Abul Hasan, told the media that they were informed of the body lying on the lake bank at around am.
The corpse was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, Rajib Ghosh, a colleague of Bari, said the latter, who had been living in a mess in Gulshan, did not go to work on Tuesday as it was his day off.
