16 people died as a bus crashed into a ditch in Kutubpur area of Madaripur's Shibchar upazila this morning (March, 19).
Abdullahel Baki, sub-inspector of Shibchar Highway Police, confirmed the incident and said that it happened around 7:30 am.
"14 people died on spot and the two other people passed away on their way to Life Care Hospital " said the SI.
Rescue operation is going on by police and fire service team.
