Three people have died of dengue fever in last 24 hours as the number of dengue cases is gradually increasing while the coronavirus infection declines.
As many as 330 more people have been infected with dengue across the country during the same period registering the highest single-day count so far.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the information in a regular health report on Thursday (September 2).
According to the report, a total of 47 people have died of dengue this year across the country. Besides, 264 people have been admitted to various government and private hospitals in the capital and 48 to various hospitals outside Dhaka.
According to the report, the total number of dengue patients in various government and private hospitals in the country is 1 thousand 282. Of these, 1 thousand 131 are admitted in 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka and 131 are admitted in various hospitals outside Dhaka.
As many as 10 thousand 981 dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital since January 1 and 9 thousand 6 patients have left the hospital after recovering.
