A fire broke out at Shahjibazar 330 MW Power Plant in Habiganj district on Sunday, causing the power supply to be suspended, said the officials concerned.
However, it could not be immediately known if there was any casualties. Also the reason behind the fire was not confirmed at the time of dispatchig the report.
The fire ignited at around 9:25 am at the power plant and spread soon, said Chief Engineer of the Power Plant Mizanur Rahman told the media.
Three fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
