A fire broke out in Dhaka's Banani area this morning.
The fire originated on the second floor of a six-storey building at Chairmanbari area around 9:15am. Eleven firefighting units are trying to extinguish the fire, said Md Bazlur Rashid, Deputy Assistant Director at Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence.
The first floor of the building houses the office of the private TV channel Ananda TV and the showroom of Amecon.
However, the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
