A 69-year-old retired veterinary doctor was found dead at his flat in the capital's Segunbagicha Wednesday, reports UNB citing police.
Abul Hossain Chowdhury, a resident of the area, stayed alone in the flat for the last 10 years as his family lives in Canada.
Police said as the cleaners went to Abul Hossain's flat, they had to knock on the door repeatedly, but there was no reply. Then they called the police.
On information, police had to force entry and recovered the body around 5pm and brought it to the DMCH 30 minutes later, Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of the DMCH outpost.
The body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
