Dengue cases decline

Along with the overall improvement of Covid-19 situation, dengue cases have gradually declined in Bangladesh.

Although more than 200 dengue cases were reported for several days at a stretch, this number has now started to decline.

On Saturday (October 2) in a 24-hour count 188 new patients were hospitalised with dengue fever across the country. Most of these patients are from the capital Dhaka.

In their regular statement the health department said, 158 patients are from Dhaka while 30 are from outside the capital.

The latest dengue situation was revealed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday afternoon.

The figures were recorded between Friday 8:00 am and Saturday 8:00 am.
