On Thursday (December 23) in a 24-hour count Bangladesh reported two deaths from Covid-19. 382 cases were also registered during the same period.
With this, the total number of Covid-19 fatalities have reached 28,054, while the caseload in the country has reached 1,582,368
Health authorities also reported 312 Covid-19 recoveries in the last 24 hours hours, taking the total recoveries to 312.
The test positivity rate climbed to 1.95% from the 19,624 samples tested across the country.
The figures were recorded between Wednesday 8:00 am and Thursday 8:00 am.
The latest Covid-19 situation in the country was revealed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in its routine daily statement.
