Of the new patients, Dhaka logged 1,979 cases, the highest among the divisions.
The country also reported two more fatalities from the disease, taking the tally of Covid-19 fatalities to 28,017.
Meanwhile, 274 patients recovered through treatment at home and in hospitals in the last day. With the latest development, 1,551,387 patients have recovered from the infectious disease since the pandemic hit the country.
The figures were reported between Monday 8:00 am and Tuesday 8:00 am.
