A 40-year-old man was seriously injured as a he lost his left ankle in a landmine blast on the Myanmar side of Cherarmath border in Bandarban's Naikhongchhari upazila on Tuesday.
Locals said they heard a huge bang around 3:00pm andr rushed to the spot where they found Surat Alam, their neighbour, lying on the ground.
Tantu Saha, officer-in-charge of Naikhongchhari Police Station, said the man was rushed to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for treatment.
