Lionel Messi is waiting for a call from Barcelona this season. Argentinian journalist Gaston Edul made this claim in the latest update.
The 35-year-old Argentine superstar Messi`s current contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) expires this summer. However, after the World Cup, the contract with PSG was supposed to be extended. But after that everything started to change dramatically.
Despite being in contact with Major Soccer League (MSL), Saudi Arabia, and Barcelona, only PSG presented the contract to Messi. However, Messi did not sign the contract.
Edul claimed that if Messi was totally determined to stay at PSG, he would have already signed the contract. Rather, the journalist thinks that the 7-time Ballon d`Or star is waiting for an offer from Barcelona. However, he did not completely reject the offer of PSG. He hopes that PSG will appear with another proposal.
But everything depends on whether Barcelona can overcome their financial crisis and afford to spend enough on Messi.
