Hollywood star Johnny Depp has received $1 million after winning a defamation lawsuit against ex-wife actress Amber Heard. Amber had to take the help of the insurance company to collect this money. Finally, after getting that money, the star of `Pirates of the Caribbean` has donated it all to charity.
According to a report published in the magazine, Johnny Depp received the settlement money from Amber Heard which is paid through her insurance company. The actor did not keep the money for himself, but divided it equally among five charities.
Amber was asked to pay $15 million to settle the case, including $10 million in restitution. The rest is punitive. The actress expressed her inability that amount of money. Amber paid Depp $1 million in settlement.
