Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has pressed charge sheet against businessman Nasir Uddin Mahmud and Tuhin Siddique Omi over attempt to rape and murder actor Porimoni.
Three other accused Lipi Akter, Sumi Akter and Nazma Amin Snigdha were exempted from the case.
Police submitted the charge sheet on Saturday (August 14) in drug abuse case which was filed with Bimanbandar police station. Police official Farid Ahmad confirmed the matter to media.
He said, the charge sheet was submitted to Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate on July 27. But, as the court was inoperative due to nationwide coronavirus restrictions, there is no development yet.
According to the case statement, actor Pori Moni filed attempt to ‘rape and murder’ case against six people including Nasir Uddin Mahmud, Omi with Savar police station.
