A music video of popular Bangladeshi actors Chanchal Chowdhury and Meher Afroz Shaon has gone viral across social media. The video features the two stars singing a sleek rendition of a popular folk song written by Bangali mystic poet and songwriter Dewan Hason Raja Chowdhury, or commonly known as Hason Raja.
The video was released on YouTube on Tuesday (July 20).
The on-screen chemistry of the two renowned actors while performing the track has struck a chord among Bangladeshi netizens.
At the time of writing this report, the video reached more than 150 thousand views within five hours of its release.
Popular Bangladeshi musician, actor and the rock band Souls Partha Barua was the music director of the new rendition of Hason Raja’s ‘Nisha Lagilo Re.’
The video was co-directed by Partha Barua and Rashid Khan.
The production company called 49 Blue produced this episode of ‘IPDC Amader Gaan’ show under the supervision of an agency called Creato.
Last year, another episode of the same show featured Chanchal and Shaon performing a rendition of another popular folk song, titled ‘Shorboto Mongolo Radhe.’ That music video also went viral on social media and received millions of views.
