A head-on collision between a pickup van and a bus took place at Bhimalpur village in Phulbari upazila of Dinajpur early Sunday, leaving three people dead.
The deceased were identified as pickup van driver Oli Ullah, 22, its helper Azizur Rahman Nishan, 24, and passenger Motassim Billah, 25, residents of Chapainawabganj.
Ashraful Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Phulbari Police Station, said the Rajshahi-bound pickup van from Phulbari collided with the Dinajpur-bound bus on Dinajpur-Gobindaganj regional road early today, leaving the trio dead on the spot.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the three bodies, the OC said.
