Rapid Action Battalion-RAB arrested shooter Riajul Islam along with 4 others on yesterday. They were arrested in a night operation by rab at Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj district.
Riaj and other 4 lawbreakers were brought before the journalists in a press conference held at Rab media centre at Karwanbazar. Rab’s Legal and media wing commander Khondokar AL Moin briefed at the press conference.
The four others are Zahidul Islam alias Kala Vagina, Maruf Hossain alias Munna, Mohammad Selim and Mahbud Mia. All of the arrested men are tender-aged.
Moin said that there are 15 cases against Riaj and others including Jubo league leader Riazul Haque khan Milky murder case. Rab also added, Riaj and his group were committing crimes in Rupganj, sonargaon and adjacent areas. Among the crimes, Illegally sand collection, forcefully grabbing others property, snatching, extortion, abduction and drug dealings are remarkable. The local people were afraid to complain against them, Rad added.
