Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has said the business organizations should come forward to patronize culture as part of corporate social responsibility.
"It is important to come forward for the business houses to patronize practicing the healthy culture as part of their corporate social responsibility to benefit the state and the society as well," he said.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, was addressing the 28th prize giving ceremony organised by Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB) at a hotel in the city on Thursday.
The daily Bhorer Kagoj editor Shyamal Dutta and Bangladesh Film Journalists Association president Raju Alim, among others, addressed the function with TRUB president Salam Mahmud in the chair.
Later, the minister handed over prizes among the cultural personalities for their contribution to films, dance and songs.
