A fake doctor named Physician SR Nazrul (38), who was picked up allegedly on April 2 from a private clinic by people in plain clothes claiming to be members of law enforcement agencies from savar, is now in jail in a case filed on charges of deceiving people.
Nazrul who is also the owner of Naba Diganta Diagnostic Centre, was picked up from the clinic, located at Savar Bus Stand, at around 9:00 pm, claimed his family members.
Though Detective Brance (DB) of Police claimed that they had arrested Nazrul on Wednesday (April 6) evening from the capital's Shantinagar area on charges of deceiving people, Ashraf Siddique, an assistant deputy commissioner of DB wari zone told this to the reporters. Nazrul was sent to jail on april 7 after being placed before a Dhaka court following a case filed against him at Ramna Police Station. Nazrul also deceived people by introducing himself as an MBBS doctor. He was actually a student of madrasa, the police official claimed, adding that he used to sell fake MBBS certificates and provide fake reports on various tests.
