The Election Commission has invited the heads of embassies and missions in Bangladesh, as well as the UNDP resident representative, to a meeting on January 4 about the upcoming general election.
According to a letter written by EC Secretariat Director for Public Relations Shariful Alam, the meeting will take place at 3:00pm in a hotel in Dhaka.
Shariful Alam told the media that at the meeting, chiefs of foreign missions, leaders of international organizations, and the UNDP resident representative in Bangladesh will be informed about the actions taken by the EC to organize the 12th National Election in a free and fair manner.
The letter further urged the foreign secretary to take the required steps to invite and assure the presence of the mentioned diplomats.
