A couple was killed along with their daughter being crushed by a bus at Sadar upazila in Thakurgaon district on Sunday morning.
The incident took place in Dashpara area of the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Masudur Rahman, 50, his wife Hamida Begum, 40, and their daughter Meher Negar,14. They were residents of Collegepara area in the upazila. Meher Negar was a student of class VIII at Madrasatul Huda.
Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Thakurgaon Sadar Police Station, said Meher Negar’s parents were taking her to the madrasa this morning riding on a motorcycle.
At one stage, a speedy bus of Hanif Paribahan crushed them in Dashpara area this morning, leaving Hamida dead on the spot and the others injured.
On information, police rescued them in critical condition and took them to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where Masudur and Meher succumbed to their injuries.
The three bodies were handed over to the families, the OC added.
