A satellite TV cable that was flung across a power line on Monday caused a brief interruption of the metro rail service.

"A miscreant threw the cable between Karwan Bazar and Shahbagh stations onto the electric line," MAN Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd. said.

He said that police were searching for the individual.

Metro rail officials reported that the event caused service disruptions for around 15 minutes, beginning at around 12:10 p.m.

Staff members unplugged the satellite TV cable from the power line, and the service was restored, according to Siddique.
