Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina ordered not to accept any more projects in her name.
She gave these instructions to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Thursday (May 9).
Amid the ECNEC meeting prime minister ordered to withdraw the part `Sheikh Hasina` from the title of Khulna Medical College project, approved in the meeting.
On contrast to that everyone presented there requested the Prime Minister to reconsider this directives, resulted her to accede for allowing her name to any project title for the last time and instructed not to tag her name on the forthcoming projects.
As many 10 projects were presented for approval in ECNEC meeting. The Prime Minister approved these all. The cost of implementing these has been estimated at Tk 5,563 crores. Out of the 10 projects expenditure, Tk 5003 crore will be available from government funds and Tk 360.47 crore from foreign loans.
Besides Khulna Medical University as well as Chittagong Medical College Burn Unit will be constructed.
Prior to the new budget placement, importance was also given to the development of rural infrastructure in this meeting.
Development projects in Barisal, Pirojpur and Jhalkathi districts have been approved.
