This morning, BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was detained by the Detective Branch of Police. He was held away from a residence in Dhaka`s Gulshan at 1:00 a.m.
Shamsuddin Didar, a member of the BNP chairperson`s press wing, told this to media.
Later, Mohammad Harun Or Rashid, chief of DB of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury`s detention.
